Here is the story:
Red State is the story of Calhoun (Cal) and Renfield (Wren), two Texas residents who find themselves in the middle of an unexplained zombie crisis. With Cal's home under attack by a ravaging horde of "dead-eyed suburbanites", the two must escape to a wide open space (despite Cal's misgivings and insistence that Max Brooks', author of the Zombie Survival Guide, says that the home is the safest place). But as usual in these sorts of stories, an easy escape is not going to be...easy. And as you might expect, not all goes as planned.

Combining zombie horror with a unique blend of humour and satire, Red State is at once an exciting and fresh (or not-so-fresh) homemade horror, a pop culture reference-laden comedy, and even the mouthpiece for SNL writer Max Brooks' satirical Zombie Survival Guide. Filmed on location at Fort Worth, Texas, Red State may or may not make you laugh or get your adrenaline pumping. But you should watch it anyway.
