Plane Dead

Fango was alerted by makeup FX artist Brian Wade that the official website for the zombies-in-the-air opus PLANE DEAD (which you can find here) has recently been updated with a bunch more pics like the one above. Directed by Scott Thomas from a script he wrote with Mark Onspaugh and Sidney Iwanter, and produced by David Shoshan, PLANE DEAD is set on a 747 onto which a scientist fleeing the CIA has smuggled a coffin containing a cadaver infected with a genetically engineered virus. When the airliner hits storm turbulence, the corpse winds up being reanimated and spawning a plague of flesheating ghouls that terrorize the passengers and crew. The cast includes David Chisum, Kristen Kerr, Kevin J. (VAN HELSING) O’Connor, Derek Webster, Raymond J. (THE X FILES) Barry, Dale (PET SEMATARY) Midkiff, Erick Avari and Richard (SIN-JIN SMYTH) Tyson. Wade and others with John Vulich’s Optic Nerve company, no stranger to the undead after work on the 1990 NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD remake and the recent RETURN OF THE LIVING DEAD sequels, handled the ghoul and gore work.
