Zombies in Italy!
From Joystiq:
As part of a two-week promotion for Capcom's latest Nintendo DS game, Resident Evil: Deadly Silence, Nintendo and Starcom have teamed up to infest the streets of Italy with zombie paraphernalia. As reported by Italian games site Nextgame.it, parked motorcycles have been laden with zombie hands with the phrase "questa mano é un biglietto da visita. il resto del corpo ti sta cercando" ("this hand is a business card. the rest of the body is trying to find you.").
Their second ad campaign is even creepier. All strewn about the streets of Italy one can now find little gravestones with hands coming out from the manufactured grass, with a NintendoDS banner surrounding the entire display. A sign is posted in front of the gravestone, "gli zombie sono in citta!" ("the zombies are in the city!"). These tombs should be on display for 2 weeks.
Last September, Sony caused somewhat of a ruckus when they decided to celebrate the PlayStation's "10 years of passion" with an ad campaign re-envisioning Jesus' Crown of Thorns.
