4th of July Zombiefest!

MonstersHD to Air Zombiefest

From Fango:
The 24-hour hi-def horror channel MonstersHD has a movie marathon honoring zombie cinema on the way, and aims to make America's birthday nice and bloody. The network will host its Independence Day of the Dead celebration Monday, July 3-Tuesday, July 4; films to be shown include the George A. Romero classics NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD, DAWN OF THE DEAD

and DAY OF THE DEAD (the latter of which, pictured, debuted theatrically on 4th of July weekend in 1985), the comedy/horror fave RETURN OF THE LIVING DEAD, Sam Raimi's original THE EVIL DEAD, Peter Jackson's ultra-gorefest DEAD ALIVE, three from Amando de Ossorio's BLIND DEAD series and HOUSE OF 1000 CORPSES, which doesn't focus on the undead but had a Zombie (Rob) as its director.

As an special bonus, the network has produced a half-hour countdown show, MONSTER'S TOP 13 ZOMBIE FLICKS, to air July 4 at 11:30 ET. For more info, visit the site linked above.
