Zombie News

Check out this R-Rated Slither trailer, which left me with this terrible Air Supply song stuck in my head that'll likely be there for the rest of the day.

From Fango:
The regional release date for NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD 3D has shifted to March 17, 2006 (out of a previously announced January 27 slot). The move was necessary to accommodate the 3-D postproduction and the addition of several CG visual effects shots, says director Jeff Broadstreet. In addition, seven more 3-D stills have been added to the film's official website. You'll need special glasses to see them.

From Bloody-Disgusting:
Mandate Pictures has picked up the film rights to The Ghouly Boys, a children's comic book series, with Benderspink attached to produce, according to the Hollywood Reporter. "Ghouly" follows four sweet, young monsters -- a wolf boy, a kid zombie, a young sea monster and the son of the boogeyman plus their flight-challenged pet bat -- who have a hard time fitting in with the "normal" human kids until they find each other. The comic, written and drawn by single-named artist Christopher, first was published in 2004 by Slave Labor Graphics.

And check out the website of this new zombie indie, The Quick and the Undead.
In the near future, a zombie outbreak has decimated the United States. The western half of the country has reverted back to Old West style laws and rules. In order to make the country habitable once again, big business have offered bounties on the deaths of zombies. Now, bounty hunters from around the world flock to the New West in hopes to make a dollar and collect a bounty.

This last bit isn't zombie related, but tough crap.
From Fango:
Los Angeles WGA Theatre (135 South Doheny Drive, Beverly Hills) will hold a special memorial for HALLOWEEN producer Moustapha Akkad on Thursday, January 19 from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Clips and speakers will pay homage to the man who launched Michael Myers.
