Julie Elswick held up the peeling flesh on her arm.
"You want to touch my wound?" she asked.
Several of her 20-something artist friends pressed fingers to the torn-looking, make-believe skin. "Oh, sexy," said Joseph Sims.
A few minutes later a man with fake burns walked by.
"Your burn job is beautiful, man," said Matt Clayton.
The admiring friends were at The Corner yesterday to take part in the final scene -- a climactic battle between bikers and zombies -- of the independent film "Dead Moon Rising."
