Had to be Night of the Living Dead.I saw it when I was 8 or 9,Iwould not go near a cemetary for years after that. Then I went to college in Pittsburgh and met Tom Savini work at his hounted house at Halloween and became a zombie addict.

that's an easy one. i'm 2nd generation zombie fan in my family, so i grew up in a zombie-friendly environment. my dad and his brother were teens when NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD came out, and from that moment on, all things zombie were the orders of the day. my brother and i were always getting made up as zombies for halloween. our home library was full of tapes (i remember very well the first time i saw the ginat box that fulci's ZOMBIE came in - "we are going to eat you!")

last xmas dad and i watched SHAUN OF THE DEAD. this year he called to make sure i'd checked out THE UNDEAD. he'd beaten me to it.

Chopper, hey, I went to school in Pittsburgh...long, looong ago. ;)

Gonzo, I'm going to your house for Xmas next year. :) My mom has watched a few with me, and she's kind to do so, but, you know...the PASSION's not there. Hehheh...

I would have to say that the movie that got me into it was Night. I was a horror fan before that, but Night did it for me--living in South western Pa helped a lot too. The Dawn and Day and blah, blah, blah...

THe first Zombie film I ever Saw was Dead Alive (Brain Dead)But I would have to say the most influential Zombie flick was Dawn Of the Dead.
Ive been so obsessed with it that I got a half sleeve tattoo dedicated to Romeros Classic. Plus, Goblin does the soundtrack-what more could you ask for

I'm not strictly a zombie fan. I love horror movies in general. I hate to admit, but my first taste of seeing zombies on screen was Jackson's Thriller video. Who knew zombies could be so agile break dancing? After that, the original Night of the Living Dead. It ranks #1 in my top 5 zombie movies of all time.

Pinky,
There's no shame in that. People can think what they want about Jackson, but Rick Baker pulls off an awesome zombie make-up. Besides, breakdancing is a good time no matter what...make them zombies and it's that much cooler.

Besides, you live in Pittsburgh, which is almost like instant zombie credentials. ;) By the way, say hello to the South Side for me...I miss it a bit. :)

The last time I was near Monroeville was just after the decided to update the parking lot numbered lights...remember that shot in Dawn of #30? *sigh* I think that was the last real recognizable bit, though I couldbe wrong. *sniff*
