Mark Young's Southern Gothic

NC filmmaker Mark Young will begin shooting his next film, Southern Gothic, this February. This sounds like zombie action...I'll post more when I know.

The movie is about a religious extremist who, even worse, is a member of the undead, and a troubled alcoholic who tries to find redemption by saving an innocent girl from his clutches. “SOUTHERN GOTHIC is not your typical horror film,” Young tells Fango. “It has depth and subtext, political undertones and complex characterizations. But don’t worry; this fast and ferocious flick has more than enough scenes of physical horror to satisfy even the most diehard gorehound.”
