Evil Dead Remake Still Planned

From Bloody-Disgusting:
During an interview with Bloody-Disgusting at this year's San Diego Comic Con, 'Spiderman 3' director Sam Raimi tells us that he's really busy with Spidey now... but when he's finished he still plans on remaking The Evil Dead with Ghost House Pictures. He tells us he wants to find the perfect director and the perfect script writers to make a film that will "really spook the audience." When we clarified if in fact the remake will happen, he exclaimed "yes, one day." And if you're wondering about Venom... he looks amazing. More on that soon. 'Spiderman 3' hits theaters next May. Raimi wrote, directed and produced the 1981 film, which tells the tale of a group of friends who go to a cabin in the woods, where they find an unspeakable evil lurking in the forest. One by one, the teens become deadly zombies. With only Ash (Campbell) remaining, it is up to him to survive the night and battle The Evil Dead.
