Awhile back it was rumored that Park was approached to remake Same Raimi’s Evil Dead for Sony Screen Gems and Ghost House Pictures. No official word came of the rumor other than a “Park will no direct the pic.” Park clears the air with B-D, “I don’t know how that information was leaked to the IMDb but it wasn’t me. And I must keep everything in the strictest confidence. But I did turn down the opportunity to remake “Evil Dead” as I think the original is so good."
